Neil Wagner is the Fujitsu Heat Pumps MVP for the Plunket Shield in 2011/12. The Otago Volts opening bowler was impressive throughout the Plunket Shield this summer, finishing with 230.57 Fujitsu Heat Pumps MVP points in the Plunket Shield. Not only has Wagner earned the MVP overall bowler honour two year running, but he also has the distinction of being named the Plunket Shield most valuable player for the second successive season. Bruce Martin finished second on the Fujitsu Heat Pumps MVP Plunket Shield table with 195.03 points, just ahead of Kieran Noema-Barnett with 177.43 and Brent Arnel who finished with 175.90 MVP points in forth place. The leading batter in the Plunket Shield MVP points table is Matthew Sinclair with 146.12. Sinclair was the leading run scorer with 809 runs (three centuries and four half centuries), ahead of George Worker who finished with 120.48 MVP points (680 runs) and Carl Cachopa 120.47 MVP points (667 runs).
